righting pole

anybody have detailed instructions on how to make a righting pole. Of particular interest would be where to get or have the mounting bracket made. Where to buy the pole and what materials should it be made out of. How to stow it on the boat while not in use. ETC. All help on the matter would be greatly appreciated. OP
