Here is the final build of the 5.0. It had a fore stay with thimbles at both ends. By attaching the short end to the drum, & pinning the thimble to the first hole, we were able to use the original fore stay, without shortening it. This can save you a few bucks. The remaining holes can be used to increase mast rake if desired.
The clam cleat, (used to hold jib tension) is pinned to the second hole. It cannot go on the same pin as as the thimble, as it is only a 3/16" pin, the fore stay uses a 1/4" pin.
