Half-tube sailbox

Sailbox for Supercat 19 made from a 12' length of 18" ID sewer pipe. Long+low box needed for main, (really tall) boards, and rudders; the height was constrained by the slope of the tramp, so the usual pipe-with-cap-at-each end approach wasn't going to work for me. Got pipe from local construction company for nothing because one end was chipped; even after being cut in half it weighs a hundred pounds, hence the two gas shocks. The whole thing is a hacked-up experiment made with what I had lying around, so the plywood base may be changed out for Al or galvanized steel. Also, I'll probably add a rubber gasket or foam tape to the pipe edge, as the hasp gave me a little more slop there than I want.
