Installing Hobie Bob

Call me what you will but when I purchased my Hobie 18 I knew I would be sailing it alone from time to time and I wanted a little extra insurance in case of capsize. I began looking for a mast head float. After a short time I found there was only 1 float Meant for the 18. Never really understanding the words it cant be done I set about to mount a Mama Bob on my mast.

I looked desperately for drawings and measurements of the brackets that come with Bob so I could Pre-design before I ever ordered it. I never found what I was looking for. If you dont get anything out of this article your will have access to some measurements. As well as some pictures of the pieces so you can plan your own onslaught.
