Trailer-Painted
After unloading the boat into the yard and stripping all the bits off the trailer, we treated it with Ospho over the course of several days. The rust took a while to convert to iron phosphate.
Once the rust was converted we painted it with Zophar, a coal tar based paint. The stuff is nasty, but it goes on in a single coat and it's made to stop rust in a saltwater environment.
There's still some work to be done on the trailer's paint job. Everywhere it was touching the blocks need to be hit, and the upright for supporting the mast isn't even installed yet.
