This is the front 5 feet of the hull that was torn off. You can clearly see the no slip decking that goes on top of the hull, & how it is attached.
Also note the stringers, going forward, across the hull, then back down the opposite side. These stringers are merely cardboard,(yes cardboard & probably waterlogged)that was stuck to the skin, run forward, bent across to the other side, then back towards the rear. After attaching the cardboard tubing, glass matt was overlaid to make the structure ridged.
In places these stringers had separated from the outside skin, leading to large soft spots.
NOTE: These "soft spots" are different than what you would find on the post '85 boats that used "foam sandwich" construction. This cannot be cured by injecting. You would need to install ports, else remove the deck, then reglass the flanges on the stringers back onto the skin.
