A photo of new forestay with pigtail. The top item is a Harken Small boat swivel,#435, (Hi load system,(torlon bearings, #434 is Lo load delrin bearings),with tang at top & inline wire block used for wire halyards.If you use the inline block, you do not need a pigtail on your stay. The end of the stay will pin to the end of the block,(marine fork or shackle required). The wire halyard will run up the luff & around the block, & back down to the drum.
I initially was going to use it,($35) but returned it & changed my halyard to Spyder Line, and used a small Harken block on the pigtail.
