Mast is nearly fully up. At this point you can grab the line & pull it by hand the remainder.
You need to think how you attach your winch line. If you just attach the end of the forestay to the winch line, you will not be able to reach it once the mast is up. Look where the winch line travels, from the top of pole to the top of mast.
The easiest was to run a long loop of line through the bow shackle at the mast hound, & attach that to the winch line. That leaves the forestay free, so you can grab it & pin to the bridals.
Another option is to install a small shackle onto the end of the forestay to attach the winch line to, leaving the bitter end of the forestay free, so it can be attached BEFORE undoing the winch line.
Now untie the loop, & pull the ends free of the mast hound shackle. Then go to the side stays & tension the rig.
