Here's my first try based on the HW I had on the boat. Insufficient tension on the daggerboard. Board also was flopping around in the slot

Hook_n_Hog_ties
After the post here in this forum, bought some hooks and hog ties and doubled up the bungee. Also have carpet cut and sizing although not glued at this point. I also tried some pipe insulation as an alternative but ended up chucking this idea in next pic.

Finished_DaggerBoard
Here's what I'm going out on the water with: enough tension and adjustable at that, carpet in the slot is glued and the boards raise and lower very smoothly.
