Prindle Vinyl Graphic
I picked up this Prindle 19 locally from an ad on thebeachcats.com in Oct 2010. I did not like the vinyl hull graphics at all. So I removed them only to find a reason for their existance.
Under the port side vinyl was a badly done repair job. Apparently, something had scraped along the port hull and tore into the outer fiberglass layer. A previous owner simply used marine epoxy to fill in the hole. The repair had lose, damaged fiberglass and the edges of the marine epoxy were flaking off. The repair did not replace the fiberglass so it was not a structural repair.
Catamaran hulls experience lots of stress in front of the crossbeam so I decided to redo the repair and do it right.
