H18 wing seat - home made
Here is a set of wing seats I made out of some elastomeric tech fabric I had laying around. I would have spent more time making these perfect but I didn't think they'd even work. The ended up being tight and stretchy as well. The material provides a custom fit that reduces wrinkles. I laid the wings on the fabric and cut out the rough shape. Then my mom sewed in a double hem on the edges to hold the grommets tight (two folds or three layers). I spaced the grommets out 1 every 7.5 inches, much fewer than typical. To get the grommet holes, I simply heated up the punch as I went and melted the 3 layers. Used UV thread.
