This pole was built for a SC20. The cradle is constructed of 4 or 5 pcs of 3/4" plywood, cut to the mast profile, and laminated together and lined with some insolite foam. It has a small line that wraps around the mast and ties off to a small cleat on the cradle. A 3 " plug of solid wood is screwed/bolted to the cradle and it slides inside the alum extrusion(H16 side beam), and is secured with drywall screw. A similar wood plug is inserted in the other end, with a notch cut out to accept the forestay. On the bottom side of that wooden plug is a steel plate, also notched to the width of the forestay, and it lands just above the swaged fitting at the terminus of the forestay. A welded marine eye is thru bolted to accept the block for the winch cable/line. That line is hooked either to the junction of the bridle wires, or the trailer tongue. See note above about securing boat to trailer.
All of these poles allow me to raise the mast solo, slowly and securely. Just move slowly, make sure all lines/trap wires, and side stays are secured, and watch for anything hanging up.
