We are heading down Saturday. Im sorry we didnt get more interviews from last year done, but work has been crazy busy the last couple of months.

Ill try and get some video posted each night. We should be in the helicopter Monday for the Hollywood start, and hopefully we will have some wind.

Cant wait for the roadtrip!

Piles are starting to form throughout the house of gear that needs to go....everything in the trailer box has been checked and double checked.....ground grew is ready....hotel reservations made......nothing left to do but sail!

So....who is the favorite this year? The dominant sailors from the last couple of years are absent...No JC, no Mischa. It's a field of strong sailors with lots of miles under their belts. I see a close race with different winners on almost every leg. I think it's gonna come right down to the wire.

Family commitments are keeping us from giving it another go this year. Big bummer, after last year we definitely have unfinished business and I'm really feeling crappy sitting on the sidelines! Unfortunately, that also means that nobody from the Ches Bay will be making the trip. There is interest for next year though, so maybe we'll have good representation in '09.

In going through my pics and stuff, I found that I have video footage from last year's start at Daytona. Files are kind of large - are you interested, and if so, what's the best way to get them to you?

Good luck and good sailing to all those participating this year!

How large? I can give you FTP information for teamseacats.com to upload if they're not too incredibly huge.

I would have loved to come down to Key Largo (it's half hour away from my house) on Sunday to watch the start and meet some of you guys, but I'm heading to the Caribbean on Friday for a 10-day vacation. Maybe next year.

76 and 147 mb. Unedited .avi straight from the Hero3, shot from the hotel deck (I was pushing for Cat in a Hat). A bit big for email, would rather see them get on a good place versus looking all crappy on YouTube...

TAWD,
Good Luck on yo saylin adventure.
Remember all those things we lernt in the old days.

10 If you sail by a dude fishing from a boat it is ok, If he is standing up and there is no boat around, pull up you daggerboards.

9 Beer goes flat in a camelback.

8 Bring a spare rear window for the van when you wife drives the trailer.

7 My big puffy sail is bigger then your big puffy sail.

6 Sailing towards the dark clouds because you are hoping for more wind is not always a good thing.

5 Dog-town coffee is a bad idea for breakfast

4 Always bring cash in case you get demasted at a topless beach full of Dutch hotties with a bar.

3 Enter wide exit close is a bad idea when the mark is a jetty.

2 When the wind is blowing so hard little bits of you jib are tearing off it is too late to buy a better roller furler

1 Boats go faster with the pointy end up.

Cheers,
Eric Anderson

Great list. I can only imagine the discussions/experiences that contributed to making it.

Good luck everyone.

All I can say is that, it sucks to be you?

I don't know what your

security preferences

are doing, but the website is just a run of the mill wordpress site.

Can you get to www.teamseacats.com ?

No

It sucks to be running an OS that's vulnerable to that garbage. (which is why I never knew about it, since I never got any kind of warning about it)

Team Virusocity, I bet your one mad Tad.
You can follow Team Cat Fever's progress at the less viral www.teamseacats.com also, Thanks to the generosity( not to be confused with virusocity) of Jake Kohl.
Eric,
Good to hear from you. Unfortunately I actually remember most of the

adventures

that spawned the rules. My guess is we'll have a few more to add in 2 weeks. Hope to see ya again sometime soon.
Tawd

The offending code has been located and eliminated. I'll be bringing the site back up later today. Then I'll be go through the tortuous process of getting it off these blocked-site lists. Thankfully I have a guy at the inside at google and he can probably help me out very quickly.

I'm not mad so much about it, but I'm irritated at the timing. Our sponsors deserve more.
