[#22234]

I need a suggestion on a commercially available, daggerboard that is less than 250mm x 13mm

I think the i20 boards have a shorter cord but dont know on the thickeness.

Can someone measure one up? How about some f18 measurements, an infusion, or Hobie Tiger boards?

Thanks for your help.

Bill Vining.

How about an F16 board or an A cat board? The new L2 design have some really slim boards.

Matt M at Vectorworks,
John P at Stealth Marine (stealthmarine.co.uk),
Hans Klok at Catamaranparts.nl
Marcus Towell at Formlua Catamarans Australia (formulacatamarans.com),
The Lindahls for the L2.

You can get an idea about various board meassurements at www.schrs.com, using CB and VLB. CB/VLB gives you the width in the case of rectangular boards. You have no info about how much of the board disappears in the hull however.

That doesnt help either, I need to know if an F18 or i20 board will fit in the HT trunk. So, the width and thickness of various boats boards are what I'm after.

Bill,

I'll measure I20 and '04 Nacra F18 boards tonight.

To me it looked like the Inter 20 boards were skinny-er than the Jav 2 boards. ie. shorter front to back. The Tiger boards might be closer to the Jav. boards.

'04 - '07 Nacra F18 (not infusion) are 10

x 1

(~250mm X 25mm)

I20 is roughly 8 1/8

X 7/8

(206mm X 21mm)...I measured this one by approximating the daggerboard well....they're buried in the trailer.

Thanks Jake, thats exactly what I needed.

The HT boards are 250mm x 23mm, so the i20 boards will work withe a bit of filler in the top and bottom of the case.

Good! However, I feel obligated now to measure an actual board instead of the well before you make an investment...I'll dig out a board tonight to make sure.

Are the original Jav 2 board no longer produced? Seems you could get some from the factory. They do weigh quite a bit less than I-20 boards if that's an issue.
