For the german readers, in the Prindle&Nacra Forum is a comparison between the Viper and Falcon F16

The translator needs a little work, but it's fun!
As nice as the race is to pretzels with a goat over the lake, but if you not a moment may be careless, without which the boat is punished
Surely we can enshrine
pretzels with a goat
! it's too good a phrase to lose.
...kinda makes me wonder what's really going on at the U.N.

Tiki,
Remember that Hollywood made a movie about
men who stare at goats" with big name actors!

A interested German Catsailor from lake Constance visited the F16 Euro at lake Como, and testsailed the Viper and Falcon.
He described the differences between both cats. The Viper had a routher look, with sharper bow, the Falcon smoother lines in the hull with nice details in beam to hull connection.
Both boats have the same amount of freeboard in the hulls.
The Falcon's mast ist further back than the Viper's mast.
The weight difference of the 6 measured Vipers was around 8kg in the platform, because of the production process?
On the water the Viper and Falcon are very comparable, the extra weight of the Viper dosn't matter much.
The rudder of the Falcon felt more precise and the boat more agile.
Some minor details in lines and rigging were different.
Later in the thread is stated, that regarding to Helge Sach, there were changes in the Viper and the newer model sails better with spi downwind, and has better handling on board.
GER3 and GER6 are two more Vipers in Germany, don't know if they are Class members. Will try to contact them.
Regards, Holger
I wonder why? There is zero difference in the three model years that I am aware of in regards to the spinnaker set up.

Rennziege = racing goat, is a expression in Germany for a fast machine. To pretzel (in german: brezeln) in a informal, funny way means to ride.
So the sentence above could be translated like: Although its real fun to pretzel with such a racing goat across the lake the fear of being punished for each small mistake could spoil the fun of sailing.
SRY i'm not a translator too

Thanks! I love things like that. Language is amazing. I'll try to think of some English slang that does
pretzels with a goat
justice!

I've been thinking about boat names recently. Not so much the name, name, but more of a model name like Tiger, Falcon, Viper, etc...
I really like Pariah, and Plague. Way different take on names I think.
