Anyone been over to GYC to check on the boats? The Tampa news was saying the high tide was going to be about 3-5 feet above normal!

Also, how about up at the Rudder Club in JAX? Everyone OK?

The Tampa news showed some moored boats in Sarasota had broken loose and washed up onto the sea wall. I thought I saw one big catamaran washed up on the shore...I mean road.

Nothing bad here in Orlando, I've just had to drain the pool a bunch.

Plenty of streets flooded here in Punta Gorda. It's not so much from the rain but the S-SW wind blowing the water in.

dunedin marina had some boats beat up... nothing like sarasota.

Bayshore in tampa was completely underwater for a few days, as was south tampa i am sure.

North of clearwater - the Anclote river was 6' above flood (26') and evacuations are still in force around there

How did Sarasota Sailing Center fare? I suspect they were leeward of the breeze/chop?

not really sure, but this is what OptiKid posted in the beachcats

The tropical storm is just causing general chaos! I went to the sss to day to tie my boat down a little tighter and found a surprise, the tide was so high that it came over the shore and looking at the water lines my transoms were under water and the bower that is next to me drifted over and scuffed up my newly painted rudders! the tide was about 4 feet higher and about 33 knots!

The buoy off of Clearwater Beach recorded maximum gusts of 48 - 53 mph over the past couple of days. I just got back from checking my boat out (she's in mast up storage at the Clearwater Community Sailing Center.) She seems to have survived all right. The pen (fenced area) that we keep our boats in was under water and I have been told at least one cat broke loose and was floating around. While I was there, trucks were busy taking the sand out of the pen and parking lot and putting it back on the beach.

The tenders took my boat off her trailer early on and tide her to the fence. The lid to my trailer box blew off, but nothing inside it blew away. Oddly, my cat-trax were missing. It was too dark for me to look around for them.
