Due to Cat5 Hurricane Wilma; the Cedar Key Regatta is
offically Cancelled. We had a lot of interest this year
with 20 boats pre-registered; maybe next year we can
have the BIG-BEND CHAMPIONSHIP REGATTA!

Mary and I were working our way slowly down to Cedar Key from Pensacola after the Wave NAs and had holed up at a nice little campground in OldTown. Then we talked to Dave Carlson and it sounded iffy and we were afraid that if the storm hit the Keys they would not let us in, so we took off for home and got here last night.
Sorry about that, we were certainly looking forward to some fun at Cedar Key.

Yes, The Regatta certainly generated a lot of interest. Everyone I talked to was very disappointed. We thought of
re-scheduling, but looks like the rest of the year is
booked. Maybe next year we can put together a 'Big Bend Championship'. We used to have the race in March but October seems to be the better time of year.
Any thoughts or ideas for next year would be appreciated.

Apparently we failed to properly offer proper portions of drink to either Aeolius or Poseidon. And now it looks like the weather will be beautiful at CK on Saturday. Rats.
