Since it hasn't been mentioned yet... lets celebrate some positive catamaran press, especially for one of our younger sailors!
In the Jan/ Feb issue of Sailing world, Sarah Newberry was named to the '2006 Jobson's Junior All-Stars'! She represents the catamaran world in a list of 7 other dingy sailors! Way to go Sarah!!! Check out her picture and write-up on page 18.
My only question is, how in an article on junior sailors does her uncle, Jamie Livingston, get his name worked into the artcle? Joking of course... Jamie does a great job of getting the youth involved!
Congratulations!

Jamie deserves his own article for all that he's done for youth sailing.

Seems like catamaran news is starting to be included more and more in SW. Of course the full page ad for Tradewinds doesn't hurt either. <img src=

The cover story on the Tybee and Outer Banks races drew a huge response. Magazine editors love getting mail from readers - good or bad. The editor's comments to me were,

wow, cat sailors sure are a vocal bunch.

Keep the letters coming and Cat sailing will get more press. Congrats to Sarah Newberry, and to Jamie Livingston for his efforts at getting youth sailors involved.
