Todd,

I mostlikely would have made the same decision. It's highly likely that the RHYC event will be on Father's Day weekend next year. If the Duck Cup and RHYC can be scheduled not to conflict w/ each other I would like to come down to the OBX. I have fond memories of sailing at OBX including one sail w/ John McLaughlin single handing our boats from Avon-bayside, out Hattaress Inlet, through Diamond Shoals in the dark, and back up to Avon-oceanside. What a trip!!!!!

Have a Great Weekend of sailing/racing and TOAST the sunset!!!! They are always so pretty down there

Well the RHYC Annual event is closing in on 40 boats pre-registered ..... I quess I should do mine!!!!! ... but I remind everyone that as of 12:00:01AM on Tuesday June 16 the registration fee will be increased by $10.00 .... we are hoping to encourage people to register in a timely manor so the Club Manager can order the proper amount of food .... and BEER!!!!

So let's pre-register soon ....

Or ($10.00)/($1.50/16oz Beer)= 6.6 beers or 106.66 oz of cold delicious

Draft

Yuengling Lager

Hi Guys,

The latest

skinnie

on the RHYC Annual Points regatta

1) The Hobie 14's will make class!!!!!

2) The F16's will make class ( the fifth boat will reqister tonight ... and he wants to race w/ a RHYC JUNIOR!!!!!) I am

stoked

for my friends in the F16 class!!!!!!

3) The A-Cat fleet as usual has all kinds of talent in it with many competitors of national level attending

4) And now for the Open

class, that will have just which smiggen of talent in it .... (3) H18s from Div11 (the best div on the east coast for TheMightyHobie18 compitition), and as for H16s' (1) HCA-NA Youth Champion, (1) HCA-NA Womans Champion, (1) Canadian H16 Champion, (1) MULTIPLE HCA-NA H16 Mens Champion .... You will need your

A" game for these guys .... and I'm looking forward to trying to beat these guys/gals but most-likely I'll get my butt kicked ....

Keep the registrations coming ....

Hope to see you this weekend

John ????

I noticed the use of the verb

to

vs

at

in your post to Todd .... does that mean you are arriving by water like in those good ol' Cambridge days. Should I meet you w/ a set of beach wheels and a Diet Coke .... since I know where ... when are you

pushing off

??? Will my TheMightyHobie18/P19 wheels work???

Good luck Harry. I've got a gig that Saturday, so I can't make it - maybe next year. I'm still looking for a Hobie 14 starboard hull if you can please mention it to the 14 crowd there, maybe I could bring mine next year if I come up with one. thanks.

Dave,

Call Danny immediately !!!!!!! He pulled

Burt Shoemakers

H14 out of it's storage place in his garage to bring to RHYC ... then a storm blew through last week and dropped some of those large pine trees in his back yard onto .... you quessed it the H14 (and the kid's Lasers) .... I don't know what is salvagable .... but I would check it out.

Danny has a second H14 luckly ....

That would be great, Harry. Anything with 8.5' wide cradles should work. Only God knows when!
Thanks

John,

I can do ....

Take my cell #, and call me when you

push off

... I want to know when you are on the water for safety and so I can check

Thomas Light

and check the

sea conditions

and estimate your progress and approximent arrival time.

I'm assuming this will be Friday sometime or are you going to sail over on Thurs???

RHYC's Location: 39Degrees, 6Min, 40secs North Latitude
and 76Degrees, 10Mins, 58Secs West Longitude.

Now that maybe the cooridinates of the

ClubHouse

which is +100yds inland, if I remember I'll stand on the launch beach and

ping

it for you.

As you come up the entrance of

Langford Creek

at the

Green

Channel marker (GC

5

) sail straight for the Brick Cape Cod (w/ additions) style house just slightly to port ahead of you. You will see RHYC further to port, its a white house w/ enclosed porches, do not turn for it until it is approximenly 90* abeam of you. There is the submerged remments of

Long Point

spit and it can be a board killer at low tide. Sail (carefully) through the

Mooring

field and the launch beach is straight ahead. The bottom is sandy w/ a shallow incline.

Oh, if you get to

Leo's

you should have already turned to Starboard and started up the Chester River ......

Poole's Island Light is most likely the nearest big light w/ a FOG Horn .... Haaaaaaaaaa ..... (Private Joke)

Hi Mike,

Yep, time goes by ..... here are some hints ....

The gentleman in question is a true gentleman, a long time Hobie Catter, an origonal member of Fleet54 and Div11, still competing and still fast .... if I were looking at the registration list I might be inclined to be looking for a low sail number .... a REALLY REALLY REALLY LOW sail number .... maybe even a three digit sail number ......

Now who could it be ???????

And no its not Wally, (at least that particular hint isn't.)

(Alex, cue the

Jeopardy Theme Music

)

Sheesh... What is it about Windmills?

George and Susan are racing their Windmill this go and not the TheMightyHobie18 or H20...

Last I heard... george was applying cat principles to Windmill sailing in prep for the NA's later this summer at Rock Hall..

I just don't get it!

Mike,

You are correct ... Mr Jimmie Glandon will be kicking my butt.

Now I never ask any questions of a woman that can lead to any

age

questions .... but I'll give you this hint; her husband is a

fairly

well known Hobie sailor, you may even say he is a

Guest Expert

and her son is a recent Youth Champion .....

Cue the music Alex ......
