SE Florida
Will be vacationing on Singer Island, SE Florida, 6/10/2011 - 6/21/2011, would like to meet up with other beachcat sailors who live in the area. I will not be bringing my P18 down, too heavy and fuel too pricy, will look at picking up a used H16 while down in FL and need to know if it's possible to leave cat mast-up on beach, will this require permits etc. Give me a call

Hi Turbohobo,
TMS 20 (on his GCat) and I used to be the only boats to sail off of Singer Island but now we have a Nacra 5.8 and a Hobie 16 that have been sailing often and both of those sailors recently completed the Islander Reef Run last weekend. I am sure some of us will be out during that time frame.
If you are looking to buy a used boat, I can hook you up with the Delray guys, one of them trades out boats.
Keeping the boat on the beach does not require a permit but connections to people that work on the beach. If you are staying at a hotel on the beach, there will not be any problems.
Send me some more details as to where you are staying and I can get you some more detailed info.
