PTP: The whole fleet isn't using the SPOTs. Only the teams that forked up the $30.

Does anyone know what the tracking site's refresh rate is? Or do you have to refresh on your own computer?

Carbon cruising is doing between 7.2 and 7.7 knots. Not exactly a blistering pace , wind must be pretty light.
I wish the other M20 (Mike and Kenny) and the F20 Carbon (David and Mike) had spots. There would be some good info there.

Is Team Roberts in the water with a huge lead? or are they stationary sitting on trailer on/near Highway US1? They haven't seemed to have moved as far as I can tell....

Looks like they are on the beach at Gilbert's. Either forgot their SPOT, put it somewhere it won't update or never left.

From what I can tell, RC is CC (un-check the RC box), RM is the Nacra F20C. Roberts may have forgotten the tracker at the beach. I hope everyone is sailing.

Maybe the OA could support us tonight with the sailors on the tracked teams so we can watch tomorrow!

I just recieved a call from on the water...CC is ahead, Phillips is second and the RC22 is third. Winds are light and shifty. Boat ahead is working the shifts harder than the other 2 and extending. I'll get another update from the pass to the outside. Winds outside are a little stronger.

What do you call light wind catamaran sailing in an area called “Crocodile Lake National Wildlife Refuge”?

Answer: A voluntary participant in a viability study concerning mobile feeding platforms. AKA Live bait.

The wind was straight on the nose going up to the angelfish. Started to fill in when I left the bridge. Should make better progress on the outside.

Roberts is running, somehow the spot got turned off. Probably when I installed it. I tried to check them all before they left but Roberts was on the water before I could double check it.

First thru the cut to the outside is CC, followed 6 minutes later by the M20 of Phillips and side-by-side them is the Roberts on the RC22. Nacra F20 has not gone into the cut yet. Winds outside are 10kts and building. More to come....

The Nacra F20 just went thru; 19 minutes behind the front runner. The chase boat is going in now so we'll see what happens at the finish of todays leg!

Light wind on the nose would definitely favor the M20. They really excel in that condition.

The F20 I would think would excel in Medium winds downwind sailing. Medium being 12-18 knts.

So this might be a rough race for the F20 unless the wind does come up on the outside and the foils can come to life.

Craig,
Can you put up a full entry list, and show which teams have spots and who they are.
Good job ,so far. This is the first time I've watched . Not as good as being there , but way better than waiting a week for results.

Popping out of Angelfish before noon usually makes for a pretty good day. Now the chutes are up and they will be making pretty good time.

Wish I was there.

Team Redhead is Mark Smith and Joe Pocreva

looks like they are doing well, at least in terms of teams with Spots
