Steeplechase Tracking

Has there been a postponement today because of the late arrivals last night?

faster than they went at any point yesterday!

I wish the other M20 and the Nacra F20C had tracking units. It's probably a 4 boat race up front.

The Capricorn was the last boat that got in last night at 11pm.

All boats started on time today. No issues and everyone got through Channel 5 bridge ok!

All boats with trackers are checking in ok.

The Nacra Carbon F20 was a little farther back the the other three boats going under the Channel 5 Bridge.

ugh, speeds back down to 5kn. whats the wind?

I checked in with the my spot unit. Marked as RC. The first boats are approaching:

Roberts (just passed Krantz)

The wind may be getting ready to shift more westerly meaning kites!

Kites are out on lead boats. Starting to go up on the F18 fleet who is grouped together.

Blowing dogs off chains here in Orlando... If they don't have this wind yet they will soon.

Todd Riccardi just called. Says they've been paddling for 3 hours and are bailing here at Founders Park.

who is driving? JC or the other guy.

I hope Todd isn't calling it too soon. We've been in the lull before the front, but the breeze is starting to pick up.

Todd is worried about catching a flight. Nora Zellmer is heading Founders to haul them. Said she would call if different

Thanks Craig, the trackers were outstanding! Maybe for next year the 30 dollars can be added to the reg fee and all the boats will have one. I guess I have to go watch football now.....

Don't know what the permissions are and whether you can get to this facebook album or not, but i'll throw it out there and see. Photographer is a friend from our sailing club and they were out on their beeg 30' cruising cat. they don't frequent this forum, so i'm going to try to share this. She got pics of the top boats near the finish line.
