Hello Friday! Nothing Quite Like A Face Smashing Pitchpole To Start The Weekend
looks like:
as soon as the skipper looked down he was falling so far off ... and not traveled out at all
perfect setup to drive your bows down.
crew at the front beam seals the deal
(edit) after looking a few times... i think he fell off as he pushed out to trap .... during a screaming reach ....

Looking at that in slo-mo. The skipper was just couching, he never moved til the boat slowed way down, which sent him forward, into the drink.
The bow was going well under without anyone making a move. Had it been a Nacra, the hull would have surfaced, with only a temporary loss of speed. An H16 has very little forward flotation, once that bow went under, with crew sitting forward, a trip down the mine was a foregone conclusion.
