I am rebuilding a Prindle 18-2. apparantly it sat in fresh water and got some growth in the wells. anyone have any tips or tricks for cleaning them out???

Mix up some Barkeepers friend (Oxalic acid) and use a long bristle brush like for cleaning furnace burners or grills. Make is strong, let soak and a hard spray from hose nozzle.
