Any guesses on what the person was try to accomplish with the modification?
Modified Prindle. Looks like he thought he needed more flotation. Might have been moving heavy stuff on it. Lots of waves on the outside of those hulls, could be soft spots he was shoring up with his mod.
That is odd! Did they make a Prindle 14 or has the guy miss-measured it?
They did make a Prindle 15. It was a uni rig but many added a jib.
I miss-typed, the craigslist boat is described as a Prindle 14.
I assume it is either a P15U or P16U, U stands for ugly.
