Taking a trip to cozumel mexico on carvinal, will dock on Dec 7, 2013 @ 9 am. I sail hobie 16 at regatta's several times a year as well as sailing every weekend during spring fall and summer, would love to rent, crew, skipper a hobie 16/18/getaway/wave, for a day aprox 930 am to 3pm Dec 7, 2013. we would love to return the favor if ever in the states near the memphis area. please let me know if you all know if anyone is a hobie lover in the area. Tim, I kicked around there a bit last year, my sister used to dive out of there. Cozumel is more of a "party" spot,along with diving operations. There are a few beaches, but it is generally not an Island with long stretches of Cat friendly shoreline, in fact much of it is Cat tastrophy.
You will see that many of the hotels do not even have a "beach" , but stairs leading into the ocean.
I saw some leaners at a marina near the main docks. There was also a fleet of commercially run racers that will take you on a Regatta type sail. I think they were America Cup boats from a decade ago. Didn't see much Cat life, good luck.
I did the "Americas Cup Experience". It was entertaining even though it wasn't a cat.
