[#2876]

I've got a 1973 Hobie I'm cleaning up to sell and after I cleaned all the dirt and lichens off I found a strange worn section on the front deck. What could have caused this? The decks and hulls are solid, no delamination I can find.

The other deck has similar wear, just not as much.

Here's how dirty this boat was before the cleaning.

That makes sense from the looks of it, but if that's it the boat must have been trailer way further back than it's sitting now, and for a long time. I'll see if it's even possible to put it that far back on the trailer.

don't know, but I'd encourage you to bring to OSYC for Slip 2 Ship... we're looking for a good, turnkey or nearly turnkey H14 for a fair price..... something for the kids to move up to after a Hobie Wave... We have a decent Hobie 16 and soon to piece together a Prindle 16.. cheers, Rob.

Hopefully I'll be down for Slip to Ship but I'll be towing my H18. Anyway I need to sell this little 14 to get gas money!

However, I did spot a Hobie 14 in Foley Alabama that might work for you.

Possibly where the beach wheels sat across the hulls during travel? Is there a tried and true method for
hauling wheels on an H18? Just started looking at strapping mine across the hulls for a trip this weekend.
