I am considering buying a 2002 hobie getaway that is in good condition. Is there any differences in the newer models that I should consider?

I would look into issues surrounding poorly-cured rotomolded hulls in the 2001 and 2002 model years. Apparently, the hulls from those years are more brittle and subject to stress cracks. Check carefully where the crossbeams attach to the hulls.
