[#21530]

I am trying to setup a Landenberger group purchase in order to try to get some type of discount.

This group purchase is open to US F16 sailors. HOPEFULLY these mainsails can be done/delivered by the F16-A Cat invitational to be held St Patrick's weekend of March 15 and 16 at GYC www.gulfportyachtclub.com

Prices are posted on the Landenberger website. I am personally going for FLEXX CC PENTEX mainsail price is listed at 1,200.00 € (exchange rates change daily) roughly 1,766USD this price does not include battens.

I am also purchasing a Landy spinnaker.

As of today I might order:
three mainsails
two spinnakers

Anyone else interested? You can contact me by replying, sending a private message or via email at info at wildergfx dot com.

Add shipping, 5% duty and +300 for battens depending on what you get there....

Landy makes some great stuff, but you got to wonder on the cost benefit at some point.

No sympathy needed. No brainer here. Go with an Ullman and keep our $$here in the US where they are worth more.
Just my 2 cents.

Wow, no need to be such an a$$h0le.

I am not going Landy, its too expensive, not even with purchasing more than one mainsail.

one option to consider might be to get the sails delivered to Mumbles for the GC and then take them back in the container

They buy a set locally for

learning

and then get a get of landy's when you've fell in a few times and landed on the mainsail a few times.

Not harsh, but a good way to

justify

to the budget holder (if you have one) that 2 mainsails make sense....

It's worked with me when I need a new kite about the last 10 times.....

Darling, No, I don't think I need a new kite for the winter/spring/summer/autumn*, A new dry suit (Musto MPX arrived today) is a must, but a new Spi can wait until the spring

I was very impressed by the Glaser mainsail that was fitted to the Alter Cup boats. Must better then the Ullman the owner had on his other Blade F16.

When pressed I would go for a Glaser.
