Hi all Aussie F16 sailors,

time to get serious and drag those 16' cats with kites out of the shed for the first big regatta to kick of the season. <img src=

The Wildcat regatta is on at Forster N.S.W. 29,30 Sept.& 1st Oct. The biggest mixed cat regatta in OZ often draws 100 or more entries. <img src=

alt=

/> Big screen for watching footy finals, with lots of lively banter between codes and states it's a big weekend on and off the water. <img src=

First chance to race against the new Formula Catamarans Australia Blade F16 and find out how fast it is <img src=

/>, or just see it in the flesh <img src=

Hope to see you lurkers there, come over and say hello on the beach, I only bite on the race course <img src=

Hi Kingcowie,

the regatta is out of Great Lakes S.C. At the Forster end of the lake, you just turn down a track, off the road along the coast. So Forster is probably your best bet. I think there may be more info on the regatta from locals, on the Catsailor.net forums under regattas.

It's a 12 hour drive for me, so I am going on memory, not local knowledge. <img src=

Most people camp at the venue. Otherwise plenty of accomodation in Forster which is about 10 mins or so away.
