Hi,
I see that F16 is very active on the East Coast.
But what is the status of that class in California ?
I'd like to give the F16 a shot, likely a Falcon because for its lightest weight, but I don't see many around here in Northern California.

Westcat,

A while back there used to be 4 F16's in California and they did made good shows at the various events there.

However, since then Kilkenny has switched over to a foiling Moth, Doc Paulson is currently doing a stint in the A-cat class and the third guy has moved to the back of the stage since then and the Mark Thalla sold his Stealth to a guy with catsailor handle Strategary. I think Kilkenny and Paulson sold their boats to new owners in Arizona and Nevada.

This is from memory and I haven't paid to close attention to developments in this are for the last 2 years.

I think it is safe to say however that the western scene (in specific California) must be restarted with respect to F16's. Our first try at this did lose momentum about 3 years ago.

I hope this helps.

Just a little housekeeping
It was hobiegary that bought the Stealth. He has since sold it to davefarmer, who I believe is in the Pacific Northwest.

Yeah, I have Gary's Stealth, which will spent most of the season on Flathead Lake in NW Montana. Doubtful that I'd drag it very far to race.
