2009 Island Fever - Pensacola Beach (New Date)

JW helped formalize this event almost 10 years back with the event appropriately named White or Wheat (Subway sponsorship), and we're moving it from Navarre Beach (home of the Charlie Harp v. Jet Ski showdown a couple years ago) to the festive locale of Key Sailing.

Date has been moved back one weekend to June 13/14. Summer heat starting to set in and the water is not too hot just yet, so sea breezes are upon us. Sounds like Kirk has a great time planned when we get off the water with Hemmingway’s serving ribs and their band cranking out some island tunes. Saturday will be bouy racing as long as we can, and Sunday will be a distance race down the Sound with our destination based on the winds (to Juana’s for a cold drink and back if we can).

Please let me know if I can help with crew/skipper arrangements. Our theory is get your boat/butt out there and we’ll make sure everyone has a ride.

1.  This regatta is designated a Category C event.
Eligibility and Entry
This regatta is open to any multihull with valid dpn number.
All boats are required to have a minimum of 150,000 (USD) marine liability insurance (property and injury) covering the skipper.
 Entries and fees may be submitted onsite until the close of registration.
 All entries must be completed before 10:45 on 6/13/09.
To register by mail print out the on line form and mail to The Key Team, 500 Quietwater Beach Rd., Pensacola Beach, Florida 32561.
Make checks payable to The Committee Boat.
Fees
The entry fee will be $30.00  for double handed
The entry fee will be $20.00 for single handed.

 1.   June 13 Saturday 9:00—10:45 Registration
 2.   June 13 10:45 skippers meeting. First start will be 12:00 with races to follow. Party at 17:00 with food, awards and t-shirts.
 3.  June 14 skippers meeting 10:30 start @ 11:00 for the fun race
