The 2006 A-Class North American Championship will be hosted by the Bristol Yacht Club in Bristol, RI September 10-15 with racing on Narragansett Bay.

Measurement will take place on September 10-11 and racing begins on September 12. The plan is to run 3-4 races per day and hopefully end up with a series of 12-14 races. The current head count is between 35-40 boats.

There will be a couple of new Geltek Flyer II's debuting at this event. One will be sailed by Ben Hall and one will be sailed by Phil Kinder. In addition, past North American champions Lars Guck and Pete Melvin will be racing on A2 platforms. It should be a great series with a full schedule of off-the-water socializing and dinners.

We will try to post updates every night on the US class website at www.usaca.info.

Bob,
I go to Roger Williams University, I am on the sailing team and am desperatley wanting to sail in the NA's. Do you know of any charter boats? The boat I had worked out fell through. I am an avid cat sailor with a Nacra 6.0 and race f-18s and etc.
If you know of anything for any price please private message me. I'll make sure the terms incase of any damage work out in favor of the owner of the A cat.
Thanks,
Todd Riccardi

Bob,
Are you bringing a bike? Lots of good fall riding around.
Looks like there will be around 40 boats at the event. Should be a good one.
Sail Fast,
Sail light
