Many Hobie sailors around the world will be saddened, as I was this evening, to hear of the passing of Alan Glover earlier this week [From a heart attack I believe].
Alan was a Hobie dealer in South Africa before moving to the UK aprox 10 years ago. He quickly got involved in UK Hobie sailing and became class chairman. He was responsible for many young sailors taking up cat sailing. His proudest moments being when his sons collected 4 ISAF youth world championship medals between the 2 of them.
He leaves his wife Sue and sons Richard and Andrew, who are in our thoughts.
