We are in the process of changing our luff tape on the mainsail. The blue cheap nylon bolt rope is on its way out of the luff tape. As we have a carbon composite mast. We believe the wear on the luff tape will be unavoidable. We are therefore looking for more durable and more slippery solutions to the classic boltrope. Are there other options on the market? I am thinging about some sort of polymer rail. Perhaps made of teflon, polyvinyl or PE. What are currently the types out there?
