breeze was up and down over the three days. Classic lake sailing with mostly light air but some medium and medium plus conditions as well. The biggest fleets were the F18s and A-cats. Nigel Pitt won the F18s and Randy Smythe got the A-cat win without sailing Sunday.

I got a nasty stomach bug and ran for home Sat. morning (left my boat too). I understand Saturday was a great sailing day. It looked really nice through the window of my den and I could see trees moving. <img src="<>/frown.gif" alt="frown" title="frown" height="15" width="15" />

80 boats, legendary parties and food.
Light and shifty on Friday.
5-10 and 10-15 on Saturday
very light on Sunday (one race).

I believe a good time was had by all.

if it's the same stomach bug my family got a week or two ago, it's the best

miracle weight loss plan

ever. Lost 11 lbs in one day.... Wasn't easy.

My wife said it's the flattest her stomach has ever looked.

When it's that bad, you gotta have a sense of humor. I'm just glad we have 3 bathrooms in our house... and lots of bleach

I wanted to throw in that I thought Wick was an excellent PRO. I never got a chance to thank him personally, but considering the shifty conditions, all of the races were very well run. Overall, a can't miss event. Looking forward to hitting the 100 boat challenge next year.

I agree, and let him know after the awards ceremony.

Great regatta! Great competition, great RC, great organizers, great parties, and the generous southern hospitality you hear about. It took us 18 hours to get there and 16 back but totally worth the drive.
Look forward to going back next year.
I wrote up a little story about our experience in the F18 fleet on our blog, there's a link to it on our website www.adrenalinsailing.com
Time to play catch up on sleep now.

Todd - you're carrying my beach wheels for a lap around the pool until you get your head straight ... mister.

Sorry Jake! There was just enough wind for us to go out and have one more race on Sunday and tank it hardcore allowing Ding to beat us by 1 darn point! I think we went from 3-6th in that one race uhhh trust me when I say that it straightened my head out well enough... if only we could have had another race!

OK....1 point isn't much to complain about. But it still cost me a hat. <img src="<>/grin.gif" alt="grin" title="grin" height="15" width="15" />

Dave and I got them by 12 pts.

Do we get 12 hats?

Rub it in Mike... my worst nigthmare during the last race as we sat in 12th watching you win!
If it was only 6 points then I think that means we had to get a 4th to tie with you. Oh well, next time!
These hats seem to be in high demand... might be a good fundraiser for Tybee!

It's only a good fundraiser if you stop loosing them in bets. BTW.....I get one too!

For the record... I had NOTHING to do with the placing of this bet... it was between Jake and Ding.

Karl and Mike, you have to risk it to get it, there is no waiting to see what the outcome is then deciding you want in.

and...errr....I can't afford 50 hats. Then again, I don't recall what exactly the bonus side of this was for me.
