Hello all,
I'm new to this board.. & of course I have a question.. I grew up sailing an Aqua Cat 12.5 ...Thinking about getting a new boat. Would this same boat be suitable say for bay or sound side sailing? I dont live in coastal area so most of my time would be on inland lakes therefore i am not looking for a large Hobie.. Just wanna play around in say Pamlico Sound as an example & just wondering if this 12.5 cat is sturdy enough for this use thanks !!

I grew up going to my uncle's place on the Pamlico River every summer. We sailed an Aqua Cat 12.5 then later an H-14. I'm sure the Aqua Cat would do fine there, (keeping in mind we were in the river, not the sound). My only thought would be that the Aqua Cat is not alot of boat for an adult, let alone two or three. But for inexpensive sailing, it's hard to beat.
