Does anyone know who carries charter insurance for individuals? I am chartering my boat, and while it is insured with State Farm, I am concerned about insurance issues if there was an unfortunate incident for my charterer.
I believe US Sailing One Design insurance covers both the insured chartering someone else's boat for events (racing) and for chartering the boat on the policy to other people.
Rates are pretty good..$120 per year for my '95 Tornado...and this is with agreed value of $12k plus $2k for the trailer.

Well, we have been trying to get that insurance and we can't get anyone to respond to our request. The Nacra F18 is not on the list I believe that's been the hold up.
Dave, if you have any luck let me know. We are ready to make the switch from SF.

David, I am an agent for State Farm. Chartering your boat voids the contract and no coverage will extend. I have no idea where the coverage can be placed other than what has allready been posted
