Just got an email that team Holmatro is going to be the first team for the Volvo Extreme 40-class.
In a few days, the first big-cat will leave the factory.
Mitch Booth will be on the helm and Herbert Dercksen will be tactician. Crew is to be announced.
Can't wait for the first pics.
Hey Boomer, what stage are you at with that Tornado restoration? Please post progress pictures. What is the material on the hulls?
And what brand is it, what's your plans for it? Fully spi. rigged?

I will take some pictures. I haven't done anything to it, I'm only planning the restauration at this moment. Looks like an England-orginated Tornado.
The former owner painted the hulls (owww), painted the complete ruddersystem white (owwwwwwww) and painted the daggerboards white (aiiiiiiii).
With a paintbrush they painted shark-teeth in the mainsail.
(brrrr). There's also a hole in the mainsail because it was used as a shelter by a complete family of mice.
Will take sometime. I'm planning to keep a diary about the restauration.
The hulls, beams, mast are in quite good condition. The trampoline looks like a ....... (dunno what it looks like).

I am partial to bright yellow. several have yellow on one side and white on the other, makes them kind of stealth.
Our Inter 20 is like that.
