Last year I had the opportunity to buy a H20 with a destroyed hull for next to nothing. I thought it would be neat to build a tri using the 20 hull for the center and use H17 hulls for the amas, and using the 20 rig. I own a cabinet shop and have all the tooling at my disposal to build a plywood boat and I've got skills with wood. What I don't have is any idea on how to build a wood boat. I'm thinking techniques like they use for home built A-cats/ What/where would be some good sources to educate myself in this department? The exploder 20 thread is just fueling my fascination with trimarans. Any help would be appreciated.

Take a look at Phil Brander's website: http://www.geocities.com/phillbrander/
(lots of dead links, but a few good ones).

Nice picture sequence here: plywood Blade F16 construction

Karl,
If your looking for a good book get a copy of
Gougeon Brothers Book on Boat Contruction.

It would be a good start.

If you have any specific questions shoot me an email and I'll answer what I can.

Regards,
Phill
