Rick,

I noticed that the Catsailor Hall of Fame does not have any 2003 nominations.

I hereby nominate Charles Chiodi, publisher of Multihulls magazine.

Mr. Chiodi has been the voice of multihull sailing since the late 70's. He has singlehandedly championed the virtues catamaran, proa and trimaran sailboats.

Before the internet and Catsailor, Multihulls magazine offered the only consistent coverage of multihull sailing. He traveled with the Worrell when it was sailed on Hobie 16s. The coverage of Phil Weld winning the OSTAR in 1980 certainly was appreciated. He covered both cruiser and racers with equeal enthusiasm.

When Multihulls Magazine arrives at home, everyone knows not to bother me, as I am engrossed in the first reading.

Please consider my nomination.

Jack Kartz

I agree that Charles should be on the nomination list. He has not even been mentioned by the board until you just now brought it up. As a member of that board, I will throw his hat in the ring as well.
Thanks for bringing up his name.
Rick
