Apropos big concept boats, does anybody know how "Rave" the 150foot (?) picklefork tri built by one man i Hawaii come along? Last I heard it was on the water, but without rig. This was several years ago..
This concept doesn't capture my enthusiasm in the same way "Team Philips" did for The Race 2000. I think they will struggle in the doldrums with such small masts, and the rig configuration look very draggy and inefficient. The lesson from "Team Philips" was to make small inovative increments, but this looks like a giant leap in some uncertain direction instead. If Groupama 3 is on the starting line with this boat, Groupama is my favorite until it breaks down..
