How to restore oxidized dull finish on hulls
After reading a bunch about about how to make dull hulls look new again, I decided to try the Vertglas restoration kit. I am very pleased with the results.
The kit was $75.00, and I spent about six hours on the project, but it was fun, satisfying and the results speak for themselves...

I posted before and after pics at this address. Its easy to see which is which. Thanks to those of you that recommened this product. I can't say if the boat is slower or faster with this treatment -- heck --- this boat is far better at sailing than its Captain... but it sure doesn't look like an '83.
Vertglas recommends you use a soft cloth instead of their special applicator to apply the product to the non-skid. I tried it both ways... didn't seem to matter which one I used. The key is multiple (9)thin coats. By the time you finished one hull, the other was dry, so the process went quickly. First 4 coats didn't look very even, but by 6th and successive coats, it smoothed out and looked great.
