I have gotten a few inquires about the Harken series dates listed on the schedule on 1Design.net and that some of the dates fall on Mondays.
I apologize for that, I needed to get the announcement and schedule out for the series early enough to give people time to plan on making the first event, Tradewinds, but at the same time not all of the event dates had been finalized by the regatta organizers for the rest of the year. For the inital announcement, I used last years dates as a guide.
As soon as I get definite dates from all the regatta organizers, I will post an updated schedule.
Also, you can expect to see the Harken series rules posted on the host website www.1design.net in the next few weeks. The rules will be very similar to the Endurance series rules.
Your fleet will need to have at least 5 boats in 4 of the 6 regattas to qualify for the Harken series. So now is the time to contact your fellow sailors and organize your class at the regattas.
