interpreting serial number

I've got a Gcat 5.7 I'm restoring. It's just an old rental, 24' mast, markings say LSA B1 on the hulls, and the serial number ends with 83, so it's probably a 1983 model, but I'm not sure. It looks that old. I've seen folks here post their hull number, and I wonder where on the serial the hull number is.

Upper right hand corner of transom for serial #. You most likely have an

83

. You can go to the G-cat website and get contact info for Hans and ask him questions or find parts you might need.

Couldn't get that website to work, but found other sites that explained the ID number.
