Mast Rotation Control on Boomless H17
Install a grommet in the tramp, thread a line from the hulls under the tramp and up the grommet in a loop.
Attach this loop to a mast rotation control arm, mounted on the mast..
This is the most used setup on the Tornados these days, simple and effective. Does not clutter your tramp..
If you want overrotation of the mast, it gets messy

The H17 guys down here are using a very simple system of a long bunji that is tied from each of the forestay / deck attachment points to the rotator bar by way of a carabiner. This forces positive rotation on the mast. During a tack/gybe, the mast is pushed through center by the sails and and the new windward bunji, while still attached, is at less of an angle with less mechanical advantage since the rotator bar is sticking way out to leeward. I'm not sure I described that well.

It's really very simple. Take a small cam cleat and attach it to the tramp track right behind the hole that the bungee for the trap wire goes through. get yourself a rotator arm for a 17SE. There will be a plastic plug in the mast where it will fit. Drill out the plug and bolt the arm on. You will also need two front hull tangs from a H16 to keep the arm from moving around. They will go over the arm and bolt into the bottom mast casting where the sheaves are. Then you need a small block and attach it to the rotator arm. Run a line from one cam cleat through the grommet, under the tramp, up through a grommet in the lacing in the center of the tramp, through the block, and back down the other side. That will give you rotation limitation that they sorely need. The inducer is just like Jake suggested. It works great and gives you something else to fiddle with.
