PP: Keepin' you guys entertained is a full time job. Anyway, my bonsai died.

Jake: There WAS something I'd never considered. Abe Lincoln's sexuality! How 'bout it!? Who thinks Honest Abe was batting for the other team (whichever team that happens to be).

Who cares?!

He's the president who preserved the union.

I could care less what (or who) he did in his free/private time.

I care! Without him we True Americans wouldn't have had to suffer through the war of yankee imperalism and domination.

The truth must out!

Yes, let's talk about something that has vital importance to both catsailors and global community:

The correct name of the body of water commonly termed

Sea of Japan

(it's on that list of controversial topics) <img src=

Hey guys,

With so much limp-wristed apologies being thrown around today, Imus, Nifong, Wolfowitz, etc.... I declare that the only further posts in this thread be dedicated to apologies. Even if you have nothing to apologize for, you have to prove how cultured and sophisticated you are by apologizing for something that you may or may not have had anything to do with 😛

I'm sorry that the sky is (Carolina, eyuck) blue.

I am sorry I consumed a huge plate of enchiladas and made a major contribution to global warming. I am also sorry I scared the dog at 3 AM.

Why is farming for corn to create ethanol taking off so fast when it takes more energy to make than it gives off when used?

Isn't that true of all fossil fuels as well? Probably all fuels except nuclear fusion.

Where's Jake when you need him?

Are you counting the sun? How are you quantifying

energy

. I've often wondered about that myself. I saw a piece on some fuel conservation tv show about this group that has figured out how to process old plastic into a burnable 'diesel' fuel...but it took something like three specialty (and rather large by comparison) incineration processes to produce something like 3 liters of the juice. Had to be 100 times the energy required to make it.

wait...how in the hell did we get here again? Can I apologize again?

I'm sorry we're talking about this crap again.
