NACRA 6.0
WHERE ARE ALL THE 6.0 NACRA'S? I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR ONE FOR ONLY 3 WEEKS AND THERE ARE NONE TO BE FOUND. DEALERS CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO PHONE YOU BACK OR E-MAIL AND PREFORMANCE SAILS WEB SITE IS OFF LINE. MYSTERE 6.0'S ARE EVEN WORSE, YOU CAN GET THEIR WEB SITE BUT THEY WILL NOT RESPONDE.
I HEAR THERE ARE A LOT OF NACRA'S IN WISCONSIN.
When I bought mine in the spring of 2000, there seemed to be a lot of folks trading their 6.0's for the Inter boats. Like you, I haven't seen many for sale this year. I'm curious, too.
I know that there is a pretty strong class of 6.0 sailors in southern New England. Rick Bliss at New England Catamarans would be a good one to get in touch with for leads.
Here in Vermont (Lake Champlain), there are a half-dozen 5.8's on the beach next to me, along with a few Hobies, but I am the only 6.0.

http://www.performancecat.com/ is the Performance catamaran site which is alive and well.
Where do you live? There is a very active fleet of Nacra 6.0's in New England.
Rick Bliss at New England Catamarans can sell you a new one as well as find you a used one.
Good Luck, it is an awesome boat.

If you are looking for a used 6.0 to buy, mine is for sale after the Nationals in october.

Have you contacted Capt. Kirk at Key Sailing in Gulf Breeze / Pensacola? I saw a brand new
right out of the box
6.0 go out week before last. Plus a lot of us still race 6.0's there on a regular basis. Check them out. I may be moving up to a biogger boat soon. I have a 6.0 Express that might be for sale. Reply if your interested.
Alive and well? Don't get me wrong - I'm a Nacra nut. But checking the 'news-news-news' section on the PerfCat page reveals that the latest post is over a year old - I haven't noticed an update to the site in at least 6 months (besides the ticker). I know that SOMETHING newsworthy has happened since then (worrell, the new Nacra small cat (blast?), Performance Nationals?, etc.). IMHO, there's a lot they aren't taking advantage of.

Yeah, people with 6.0s are happy sailors who don't want to trade a good boat away just to keep up with the Jones'.
Tough sailors sail tough boats. And 6.0s take a lickin and keep on tickin. Remember the Jenson Beach Worrell 1000 photos showing I-20's busted up all over the place? I doubt the Nacra's would have taken such a beating.
Truthfully, I can't afford to keep up with the Jones' and would rather have a tough proven boat that still beats I-20's on a beam reach and has a more accurate portsmith rating than some of the newer boats.
Finally, many of the Worrell 1000 sailors would rather sail the 6.0 than the I-20 or Fox.
