Hi Jeff,

They are all right here at your fingertips. Simply go back to our main welcome page and in the left hand index you will find a link to Ratings.

Good luck,

Rick

Ok, I see the ratings for a stock 5.5 sloop, but none with the expanded sail area. Does anybody know how a hooter would affect the rating of the stock boat?

Jeff- If you go to the portsmouth link on the front page and click

multihull mods

it gives a list of corrections. Your correction is coded

SP

and you multiply your standard DPN number by .972 for the shute. If it is a long distance race the correction is slighty different and listed under a different code. There are corrections for all kinds of stuff- jib/no jib, solo on a two man boat etc. The corrections are typically not as significant as one might think and probably are affected by how the course is set like the time spent reaching/running vs upwind. This stuff can get pretty controversial, but its fine for a starting point or judging relative speeds.
