Hi, I am planning to pick up a P18-2 this weekend with my N5.0 trailer. If somebody could help me with the distance between hulls, center to center, it would help me a lot.
Thanks

What I can tell you is that your nacra 5.0 has an 8 foot beam and the Prindle 18/2 has an 8 foot 6 inch beam. More than likely you will have to move your rollers or hull bunks. Just make sure that you lube the bolts and nuts before you leave and adjust when you get there.

I know, the roller supports are welded and there's no room to move them. But I think the P18-2 hulls are wider so the difference between hull centers isn't that much. Doing proportions from pictures, it seems the difference is about 3 inches or less, which may be enough. I don't want to retrofit the trailer, just use it once then get a new one for the P

Something that you must consider is the shape of the hull, if you have a couple of 4x4 or 4x6 lying around, just put them in front and back of the cross bars with roller and this should get you above the rollers, a few pieces of carpet or foam and you should be good to go.

Yes, it's a good idea, thanks. I still have to check the cat before buying it and decided to go without trailer, no need to rush, it's not like the world will end tomorrow or next year (or does its..)

if you have curved cradles you may be able to pack some soft polystyrene blocks under the wider boats hulls to lift it high enough to fit into the wider curve of the upper cradle...if that makes sense
